“Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don’t know how you ever lived without them.”

She’s about to make a deal with the college bad boy…
Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she’s carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush’s attention, she’ll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice…even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.
…and it’s going to be oh so good.
All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he’s worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he’s all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.
Read pre-blog ~ This is one of the books I have read pre-blog that I simply have to share and JUST NEEDS TO BE ON HERE.
Sometimes, people come into our lives unexpectedly.
Sometimes, we do not even know what to do with these people.
Then life happens and we find ourselves unable to get through the day without this person who went from someone who doesn’t mean anything at all to someone who gives meaning to everything.
“Living well and being happy is how we get over the shit in our past.”
That’s what happened to Hannah and Garrett. Everything was simple. Everything was going smoothly. Hannah is sensible, talented and smart. She is THAT smart that she is the only one acing a particular subject that Garrett is failing. Garrett is far from dim. He is good except for this one subject that he just cannot seem to wrap his head around.
All Hannah wanted was for her crush, Justin of the football team to notice her. Here comes Garrett, failing on the subject that Hannah is acing and BAM! She started tutoring him in exchange for Garrett pretending to date Hannah to somehow elevate her social status, thus making it more likely for Justin to notice her.
“And the most important lesson I learned is that I’m not a victim—I’m a survivor.”
What happens next is a series of funny developments, banter, wit and humor. The writing was smooth and it was something that was easy to read. I was smiling, laughing and crying happy tears from reading this book. It’s the kind of read that you would like to pick up after reading something devastating or something that crushed your soul. This sexy college romance surprised me in a good way. Though the plot is fairly simple, Elle Kennedy totally won me over because of this novel’s readability and her characters being all lovable and likable. Like what I said, if you’re looking for something light, funny with just the right dose of emotions, then this series is just right for you.
